Solenoid will not open |
Is water turned on at mains Is pump operating |

Is valve flow control stem open or closed |

Is valve installed with flow in correct direction. Valve will operate continuously if valve installed in wrong direction |

Is power on at automatic controller |

Is power getting to solenoid valve coil |
|
Inlet port at top of valve is blocked. Remove bonnet of valve & clean port |
Automatic controller not getting voltage to solenoid coil |
Check controller output voltage. Return controller to Mid-West Irrigation for assessment. Replacing modules or front panel can fix problem |
Solenoid coil not operating |
Replace with new coil |
Wire connections not waterproof or faulty |
Replace wire connectors with waterproof connectors & check that wiring has not turned green due to moisture. If so replace wire. Copper wire turned green will not operate correctly as moisture ingress will impede or stop the electrical current flow from controller to solenoid valve |
Solenoid valve leaking or staying ON |
Particles of debris under diaphragm. Remove top of solenoid valve & clean diaphragm & diaphragm seat |

Torn diaphragm. Replace |

Manual bleed turned on |
